Super Powered Comics: X-Campus

Marvel Month continues here at Super Powered Fiction!

Wolverine doesn't play nearly as important a role in this book as this cover suggests.

A few years back Marvel solicited Soleil to produce international comics focused around Marvel’s X-Men characters. One of those was the infamous (and awesome) X-Women one-shot by Chris Claremont and Milo Manara. (I really have to review that one too.)

X-Campus was the other. And despite the fact it got basically no attention from anyone when it was released, it is actually a very good read.

Give the full review over at the Examiner a read, why don’t you?

About Nick Ahlhelm

Nicholas Ahlhelm has let his love for superheroes as a concept pretty much overwhelm his good sense. He has been a fan of super-powered prose fiction since he discovered Wild Cards at twelve. Since then, he has expanded his reading and viewing to cover superheroes through every means he can find, whether comics, prose fiction, movies, television, or transmedia sources. At the same time, he started to craft his own superhero narratives, developing the ongoing Quadrant Universe while dabbling in pulp and sports fiction. He lives in Eastern Iowa with his wife and two daughters, in an increasingly small house.
