I promised a special Saturday update and here it is!

Jenny Everywhere is a unique public domain character created nine years ago simply because a character like her never really existed before. While plenty of characters from the early 20th century back to the beginning of time are now open for anyone to use, no one ever really purposefully developed an open source character like her before.

To continue to promote her and make Jenny Everywhere more of a household name, Jenny Everywhere Day began! Every August 13th is devoted to the character and that celebration can be seen over at the Jenny Everywhere Day official page.

But I am never one to leave the celebration to others! I have created a special chapter of Timeline that debuts today that tells the origin (one of many) of Jenny Everywhere!

So celebrate by giving it a read, check out all the great new pictures of Jenny Everywhere, and spread the word about open source heroics!
