Wrestling Wednesday: Chikara Small But Mighty and FIRE PRO!

The super fast Osaka Pro team of Harada and Kotoge amazed at Chikara Small But Mighty.

First up is the second half of my review of the absolutely great Chikara show “Small But Mighty” from back in October. Read the article over at the Examiner!

Then, Joe Gagne has returned with a review of an import classic: Super Fire Pro Wrestling Premium X for the Super Famicom! Check it out below!

Super Powered Comics: Kick-Ass 2 issue 5

Wow, another Millar review, who would have thought it.

What’s been going on: Well you’re probably already familiar with who Kick-Ass is and what’s been going on. Red Mist is back with a super villain name I’m not comfortable with posting on a review site, Kaitie is hurt, and Dave’s dad took the fall for Dave when the police came for Kick-Ass.

The Review:

I was more pleased with issue 5 then issue 4. It had been almost a year between 3 and 4 and there was some character building. If the title had been on schedule, this wouldn’t have been a problem, but by the time 4 came out, I was ready for an ass kicking. There was some action in 4, but it developed characters, and the same could be said about 5, however, we finally get to see what we’ve been waiting for. Hit-Girl to Dave’s rescue!

I was pleased with this title and hope that the finale is coming in January. (According to Millar’s twitter feed Kick Ass 6 and 7 will double ship with 7 being a double sized issue).
