Since last week’s Star Wars day was devoted to the Avengers release, it seems only fair to devote this week to an obscure Star Wars comic character: the far future Twi’lek Sith warrior named Darth Talon.

Valiant returned just over a week ago now and while it is a happy moment to see the company back… this reviewer wished it could have been with a better book. X-O Manowar was a gorgeously drawn book that probably will satisfy fans of decompressed storytelling. But for fans of classic Valiant or characters just dipping their toes into the Valiant Universe for the first time it may come off as a bit of a disappointment.
Why, you might wonder? Probably because you won’t see any X-O Manowar in this issue. An odd choice for a book that is supposed to launch an entire line.
What, you thought I would recommend Dark Shadows? Some of us actually liked the old show, Tim Burton.
I will almost certainly get back to the Avengers either this weekend or sometime next week as it is definitely a move that deserves to be seen more than once. Also one that deserves to shatter some more box office records.
Just as a change of pace, here is a behind the scenes look at the film.
