Kickstart the Week: The Mighty Titan

In this time of big studio comic publishers suddenly turning to Kickstarter, sometimes it is great to support the smaller publishers just trying to get some great personal project published.

The Mighty Titan is definitely one of those projects. Joe Martino wrote Shadowflame a few years back, but now he looks to really launch a gorgeous five issue project on Kickstarter. Joe channels his own battle with cancer into the story of a superhero dying and the quest he goes on as he realizes his time on Earth grows short. He’s got some stupendous cover artists lined up and some great young title working on the interiors and he even knows the way to get to this writer’s heart: a logo t-shirt.

The project is only a quarter of the way funded right now, but is well within our ability to get there. Go show some support on a gorgeous comic with some real meaning.

About Nick Ahlhelm

Nicholas Ahlhelm has let his love for superheroes as a concept pretty much overwhelm his good sense. A fan of super-powered prose fiction since he discovered Wild Cards at twelve. Since then, he has expanded his reading and viewing to cover superheroes through every means he can find, whether comics, prose fiction, movies, television, or transmedia sources. In the mean time, he regular maintains three fiction-producing website publications: Metahuman Press, Pulp Empire, and The Dead Walk Again. At the same time, he writes the weekly web comic Arc with artist Jay Rainford-Nash, published every Tuesday. (Other comic works are in various stages of production.) He lives in Eastern Iowa with his wife and two daughters, in an increasingly small house.
