Wrestling Wednesday: Davey Does Iowa, Joshi American-style, Art of Wrestling animated & WWF Attitude

The biggest news story of independent wrestling in the last couple weeks came out of my home state of Iowa where Davey Richards & Team Ambition managed to commit assault and burglary all in the same weekend, a truly impressive feat. Read the story so absurd it can only happen in wrestling over at the Examiner.

Chikara‘s latest PodcastAGoGo features a great joshi battle between Saturyne and Japanese talent Kagetsu. Good solid wrestling action, especially considering Saturyne is only 5 months deep in the business when it was released.

Wrestling Is… presented the second volume of the animated adventures of Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast. This time, an adventure of Scott Steiner as told by Petey Williams.

We close with the latest episode of Joe Gagne’s Funtime Pro Wrestling Arcade, this time featuring the lackluster WWF Attitude. Check it out for some great comedy and a look at a game with so much potential unrealized.

About Nick Ahlhelm

Nicholas Ahlhelm has let his love for superheroes as a concept pretty much overwhelm his good sense. A fan of super-powered prose fiction since he discovered Wild Cards at twelve. Since then, he has expanded his reading and viewing to cover superheroes through every means he can find, whether comics, prose fiction, movies, television, or transmedia sources. In the mean time, he regular maintains three fiction-producing website publications: Metahuman Press, Pulp Empire, and The Dead Walk Again. At the same time, he writes the weekly web comic Arc with artist Jay Rainford-Nash, published every Tuesday. (Other comic works are in various stages of production.) He lives in Eastern Iowa with his wife and two daughters, in an increasingly small house.
