SuperPowerCast returns in a new format and a new plan for “almost weekly” podcasting! Nicholas Ahlhelm and Tommy Zimmer run down reviews of comics that shipped in the first two weeks of May. Plus we talk the news of a favorite title’s cancellation, Marvel’s first animated feature film and we end the show (conveniently for folks that have yet to see it) with an in depth review of Marvel Studios’s Iron Man 3! We even have a visit by the Mandarin himself.
Books reviewed:
Batman 20
Batman & Red Hood 20
Batwing 20
Dragonfly
Justice League of America 3
The Movement 1
News: Disney’s Big Hero 6 First Look

Over at his Pulp Sunday blog, Francesco Francavilla has revealed his concepts for an Elseworld Batman set in 1972. And like so many any other things drawn by Mr. Francavilla, they are gorgeous.
The result is a great pulp/exploitation mash up character, complete with a Catwoman clearly designed after the ever gorgeous Ms. Pam Grier. Head on over to Pulp Sunday for a larger version of that image above plus more of Batman ’72 and Catwoman ’72.
