So I’m an anglophile. I love British Culture. I’m also a huge Sherlock Holmes fan. I think this was established in my last review of a Sherlock Holmes film.
This is a review of the entire second season. Moffat and Gratiss brought their A-game to the second series (season). The first episode was a bang, and a twist ending that I found was pretty good. The introduction of Irene Adler was welcomed.
The second episode was kind of a let down for being the most well known Sherlock Holmes story. It still had the feel of the rest of the series and fit, but it could have been saved until series(season) 3. What didn’t work for me was that they tried to make it scary. I think had Moffat actually written this one, it would have been scarier. I mean after all Moffat did write the “Blink” episode of Doctor Who and “The Forrest of the Dead”. I’m still scared to blink and let my shadow cross anything.
Episode three was a tear jerker. I’m also sure that if you look on the net you’ll find a spoiler. I’m not going to post that here. I just can’t rob you of it. It was a good way for the season to end.
Sherlock premieres this spring on your local PBS station.
